A hot week! We started the weekend by getting Fred back home, as we've now made an arrangement to have him every weekend and then he goes to our friend for the week. The kids are so delighted to have him home, and it's fun to walk him together with Archie so the dogs can play. I'm an Easter egg, you can't find me! That stick might be a bit big for Archie We went to visit the grandparents again. It's wonderful to be able to see them again after so long. Father's Day was brilliant as a family reunion! In the heat, we had a few walks... Found cherries on a tree! The kids' biggest highlight ever this week was going horse riding for the first time. It was amazing. We got a bargain taster session at a riding stables across the river in Wales, only half an hour's drive, and I wondered how the kids would be - if they'd go anywhere near the horses at all! N(5) was very cautious and worried about getting on the horse, but D(4) was all systems go and loved it f

Highlights of our week -  We went cycling to Severn Beach with our new Trailgator, which only D(4) was brave enough to use (but he loved it!) and the kids got super muddy... Found a special new "100 Acre Wood" forest nearby, it's not big but has a few sweet Pooh-related things to find... And hooray, the local farm has reopened!!

Another week of highlights similar to the previous week's... except this week, we've introduced a new fun activity: PawPrint badges . The kids have to do certain activities to "earn" them, which we spread over the two days of the weekend. Day 1, Saturday: clay modelling garden critters and plants, and a spider web in the lounge to try and navigate through. Day 2, Sunday: litter picking and then we planted some plants that will hopefully survive in clay soil in pretty much complete shade (on the North facing side of the house) Archie Walks & Moor Walks Out and about again during the week.... And when the weather turned, the train set came out in the kitchen. Oh, and we have a working dishwasher now, which is the first time I've had one since moving out of my family home! Pipe cleaner crafts: N(5) made me a necklace!
